Weekend Internships

We offer two non-paying weekend internship programs per year. These internships offer individuals with full-time jobs or class schedules the opportunity to participate in planning and orchestrating weddings. Duties may include assistance with ceremony rehearsal and on-site coordination for both wedding and reception. Interns may also elect to attend wedding industry functions. The experience gained in the program is invaluable and will hopefully lead to a successful career in event planning for each participant.

Note: If this Internship is to be used for college credit, you must be in your Junior or Senior year with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Spring Internship is for March, April, May and June. Resumes are accepted January 1 – February 10. Interviews are conducted through February. Fall Internship is for August, September, October and November. Resumes are accepted June 1 – July 10. Interviews are conducted through August. Internship Qualifications – Your resume and cover letter should demonstrate how you possess the following required qualifications:

• - Previous Planning Experience.
• - Reliable Transportation/Valid Driver’s License.
• - Outgoing Personality – Infectious Laugh, Lots of Smiles!
• - Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse cultural, ethnic, religious and educational backgrounds.
• - Ability to work with others as part of a team.
• - Outstanding listening & comprehension skills.
• - Access to personal computer and ability to effectively utilize email applications and the Internet.
